“Aww man, if I would have been just a little quicker, I would have won!”
I overheard a mother and her child discussing the outcome of the game. The child gave the game his all, he played with all of his might, only to have missed the final pass to bring home the win. As sweet and subtle as the mother could say, she looked at her son and said: ” You will always be a winner in my book.”
Boom! Those little words of inspiration rang through my soul like church bells and hit me like a freight train ( well, you know, it really touched my soul). Each and every day, we are faced with many tasks that have two outcomes: success or failure. We may attempt a task and become unsuccessful, but the good news is that as long as we have breath, we can try again. When a task, season in our lives, or opportunity defeats us, we must use it as motivation for the next go around, as a declaration that no matter what we will not give in, we will not give up, we will come back harder and stronger than ever before. For whoever may be feeling like you are just being knocked down from every angle, you are an overcomer; for those who have been battered by the storms of life; don’t give up, there will be a rainbow; for those who feel like they are ready to throw in the towel, hold on just a little while longer. There is always someone who may be cheering for you, whether you see them with your physical eyes or believe it in your heart! Be blessed.
